Become an IACC Certified Commercial Collection Agency

Members of the International Association of Commercial Collectors (IACC) have the opportunity to participate in the Certified Commercial Collection Agency Program. This program allows agencies to demonstrate their professionalism and devotion to providing quality collection services.

The IACC Certified Commercial Collection Agency Program requires a two-part application process. Part one requests basic information about the agency, its various locations and copies of bond and license documents. Upon meeting these basic requirements, the agency submits part two of the application, including specific documents, to the independent certified public accounting (CPA) firm hired by IACC. The CPA firm will then contact the agency directly to request sample financial information for dates specified by the auditor. Once the auditor receives all the required documentation from the applicant, the CPA firm will contact IACC to notify the association whether the agency qualifies for certification status. Certified Commercial Collection Agencies must renew the certification each year.

Certified agencies have a unique mark of distinction to highlight when talking to clients and prospective clients. Approved agencies receive a certificate and will be able to use the IACC Certified Agency logo on letterhead, business cars and marketing materials. With quality assurance becoming an increasingly prominent concern for creditors, the IACC Certified Commercial Collection Agency Program is a valuable opportunity for your company.
