[Certification] [Requirements] [Certification Process] [Recertification] [Information for Agencies]

The Certification Process

To begin the application process, members need to contact IACC staff and request part 1 of the application. This application requests basic information about the agency, its various locations and copies of bond and license documents. This application and supporting materials are submitted to IACC along with a non-refundable certification application fee of $400.

After the IACC staff reviews part 1 of the application to confirm that the member meets the basic requirements for certification, the member will receive part 2 of the application. Part 2 asks for specific documents which are sent by the applicant directly to the independent CPA firm hired by IACC. The CPA firm will then contact the agency directly to request sample financial information for dates specified by the auditor.

Once the auditor receives all the required documentation from the applicant, the CPA firm will contact IACC to notify the association whether the agency qualifies for certification status. Approved agencies will receive a certificate and will be able to use the IACC Certified Agency Logo on letterhead, business cards and marketing materials.

A new certificate will be issued each year that the agency chooses to renew their certified status by meeting the recertification requirements and paying the $200 annual recertification fee.
