There are several legal principals all collection professionals should be familiar with to effectively represent and satisfy their clients' claims. A basic understanding of these principals is necessary to negotiate, facilitate payment, and obtain authorization from clients for authority to settle or sue.

Principals to be discussed during this seminar include:

  • creditor’s legal position to sue,
  • debtor’s business composition and liability of principals,
  • statute of limitations,
  • law of contracts,
  • applicable state statutes (UCC),
  • judgment enforcement remedies,
  • FDCPA as it applies to commercial claims,
  • and more!
