Certification
The International Association of Commercial Collectors, Inc. (IACC) enhances the growth of its members by delivering education and professional resources in a collaborative environment.
IACC certification demonstrates that a commercial collection agency or individual collector has the ability to effectively, professionally and ethically recover debt while safeguarding clients.
IACC recently joined forces with another industry leader, the Commercial Law League of America, to offer the new gold standard for agency certification. Certified agencies demonstrate, via a rigorous review and regular exams, that they adhere to all pertinent government regulations, use Generally Accepted Accounting Principles or other equally respected accounting practices, and follow established best practices to protect their clients’ money.
The International Association of Commercial Collectors, Inc. (IACC), through an alliance with the Commercial Law League of America (CLLA), offers the Certified Commercial Collection Agency Program as a way for agencies to demonstrate their professionalism and devotion to providing quality collection services. This unique mark of distinction is awarded after an extensive application and assessment process determines that the agency meets or exceeds the program’s standard operational guidelines.
Commercial Collectors who achieve IACC certification have completed study on a host of topics essential for success in the commercial collection industry and passed an exam that demonstrates mastery. Commercial collection agencies across the country use the IACC Certified Commercial Collector Program as an affordable training and motivation tool for both new and experienced collectors. Having a certified staff increases agency productivity while also providing an effective marketing edge, since clients and potential clients recognize certification as confirmation of both expertise and trustworthiness.
